Justin Timberlake - Futuresex/Lovesounds

When people look back and wonder what 2006 sounded like, this is the record they should put on. Not just because "Sexyback" and "My Love" were enormous hits, but because of the incredible production work of Timbaland on this and the Nelly Furtado record. There are a couple of clunkers here, but "Losing My Way", "Chop Me Up", and "What Goes Around.../...Comes Around" are as good if not better than the first two singles. . It is fascinating to watch Justin Timberlake mirror Michael Jackson's early career path (if the similarity of "Rock Your Body" to "Rock with You" wasn't obvious enough). Let's hope his next record is better than Bad.
