The Stills - Without Feathers

The Stills underwent an incredible transformation from their Interpol-derivative debut to this wonderful record. Their drummer moved to guitar/songwriting capacity, and wrote a bunch of excellent songs. It certainly helps that their new drummer is amazing. Backup vocals from Metric's Emily Haines and guitar playing from Sam Roberts create a nice link between my three favorite Canadian records of 2006.
