Sam Roberts - Chemical City

If you randomly check out a record on this list, it should be Chemical City. I've yet to give it to anyone that doesn't get it. I stumbled upon Sam Roberts at Austin City Limits and was completely blown away by his set there. Chemical City does not disappoint. It contains ten great songs that sound like they are from some lost classic rock album from the seventies. You'll swear you've heard them before. Chemical City is also the best sounding record of the year.
