Nas - Hip Hop is Dead

Nas is so far above the rest of his peers as a rapper, that his records are indispensable despite the inevitably wack production choices he regularly makes. Nobody says more about the current state of hip-hop than Nas does in the song "Carry on Tradition". His simultaneous respect for the history of hip-hop and incite into it's erosion in quality is endlessly fascinating.
