KEPLER REVIEW:
Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton - Knives Don't Have Your Back
Following the disappointment of Metric's second album, Live it Out, I wound up not giving this album a fair shake until early 2007. Since then, I haven't been able to stop listening to it. Most of this record was recorded with Emily Haines sitting at the piano, which give the record a very performative feel. An incredibly strong set of songs, wonderful singing, and the most frightening lyrics of the year. Don't miss this record. "There's a new crime, sexual suicide".
